Ageing, old age, demographic ageing leads to increased representation of old persons in the population, with impact to the assessment of health state of persons for the sake of granting the degree of dependence and care benefits. The question is what the cause of senior citizen dependence could be and whether the old age itself can be the cause of long-term unfavorable health state.
