Overview
The article presents information about the most important developments in the project of the Ministry of Work and Social Affairs “Opinions of physicians of the Medical Advisory Service and motivation factors aimed to attract new MAS physicians”. The aim of the project was to find out what kind of measures increase the interest of physicians for working in the Advisory Medicine branch. The physicians most often admitted the possibility to collaborate with the Medical Advisory Service were those working in hospitals. The authors draw attention to the need of more detailed information of physicians about the activities and problems of Medical Advisory Service as early after they start working in practice. At the same time they point out the importance of the Medical Advisory Service activities in the system of social security and employment. The impact of the Advisory Physicians activities represents 100 billions of Czech crowns from the state budget. This is one of important reasons why specialists are needed for adequate personnel background for the service.
