Dear Readers,
Welcome to the pages of our e-magazine, the main topic of which is Alternative and Augmentative Communication. At the same time, we invite you to listen to the first of our monthly interviews, which will be published from 14 June on the pages of our magazine and on our Facebook pages, as part of the newly formed Řeči o řeči podcast. The first interview in June is with Maria Cesnáriková on the topic of Eye Tracking as a form of AAC.
Our colleague, Zuzana Blažková, has honoured us with a July interview on how to communicate with a non-verbal toddler, and you can look forward to an August interview with … But we are not going to reveal this, so follow our website and Facebook pages, discuss under “individual interviews” and, if you like, share with your friends, patients and colleagues.
The topic of the next issue of our magazine is Cognitive Communication Disorders. You can send us your articles on this topic, as well as for the Varia section until 14 September.
Finally, allow me a brief personal message. You have probably noticed the beautiful photos from the studio of our colleague, Barbora Lichorobiec. This image appeals to me a lot. Not only is it relevant to the main theme of this issue, but it is extremely topical now. When I look at this photograph, I come up with words like “support, help, encouragement, guidance” – and the biblical “Carry each other´s burdens” (Gal. 6.2).
I wish a lot of strength to us all in the coming days to help others and to give hope to those who need our support, whatever the type of support.
Yours sincerely,
Zuzana Lebedová,
on behalf of the editorial staff of LKL
