Overview
In the recent few years, multiparametric MRI of prostate is used in diagnostics, local staging and in follow-up after radical treatment of prostate cancer. This study presents single-institution results of TRUS/MRI fusion prostate biopsy performed at the department of urology, Oblastní nemocnice Kolín a.s., Czech Republic. Aim of this study is to evaluate the detection rate of prostate cancer using this method and comparison with standard TRUS-guided random prostate biopsy. The secondary aim of this study is complication rate analysis of TRUS/MRI prostate biopsy.
