Overview

Despite diagnostic, prophylactic and therapeutical progression remains venous thromboembolism important healthy and social problem. The emphasis is contemporary set on extensive preventive and prophylactic proceeding and the algoritms are worked out to provide the care in specific situations. Nevertheless, venous thromboembolism in Europe is the cause of death in more than 500 000 people each year.
