Overview

The consensus on the use of antibiotics defines accurately the indication scope of (in part I penicillin) antibiotics, it gives an account of their correct administration in the treatment and prophylaxis of common infections using retem findings on their antimicrobial effectiveness, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and clinical and epidemiological safety. The elaboration of this material is consistent with the present recommendations of WHO and the European Union focused on the control of antibiotic resistence. The objective is to contribute to proper practice as regards the use of penicillin antibiotics and their objective integration in the present range of available antimicrobial drugs.
