Overview
The author draws attention to repetitive strain syndromes of the upper extremities and the necessity to differentiate them from morphologically defined syndromes such as inflammations of tendons, affections of tendon insertions and bursae. It is difficult to influence complaints associated with syndromes of repetitive strain and a very comprehensive approach of the physician is essentials. It is an advance that we realize the existence of repetitive strain syndromes and that we do not overrate nor underrate their serious character.
