Overview
The authors present the results of the current survey of anthropometric data and the incidence of risk factors of coronary artery disease in Czech children in 2016. From previous research of being overweight and obesity in the 1990s, there has been shown moderation in the development of being overweight and obesity since 2011, including a decline in average lipid levels and fewer children being placed in risk categories for the occurrence of premature atherosclerosis. It also reflects a decline in morbidity and mortality in adult cardiovascular disease.
KEY WORDS:
atherosclerotic risk factors, antropometric parameters, the development of obesity in children in the Czech Republic
