The author describes the methodology of work with information resources in the health care services called„Evidence-based medicine“ (EBM). EBM facilitates orientation in the professional press, makes possible rationalclinical decisions based on critical evaluation of health information with different levels of evidence. The use ofresources which were developed using principles of EBM should enable paediatricians to use rationally the resultsof clinical research in practice and thus make patient care more effective.
