The authors evaluated retrospectively for a period of the last three years neonates with critical congenital heartdisease hospitalized in the hospital in Martin.The incidence of critical inborn heart disease in neonates born inMartin hospital was compared with data from the literature.They evaluated separately the onset of clinicalmanifestations in different inborn heart diseases,the time taken to assess the preliminary diagnosis,stabilizationof the newborn and transport into the centre.The main attention was paid to evaluation of the interval betweenthe first clinical symptoms to the transport of the child.The authors compared preliminary diagnoses oftransported neonates with diagnoses which were assessed in the diagnostic centre in Bratislava.The main objectiveof the submitted work was to evaluate the assembled results,draw attention to problems associated with transportand the inevitability of mutual collaboration.
