Overview

The pathophysiology of the meconium aspiration Syndrome is related to airway obstruction, chemical pneumonitis, dysfunction of pulmonary surfactant, toxic injury of tissues and impairment of cleansing mechanisms of lungs and airwys. Elucidation of their significance in MA5 is an essential prerequisite for the causal therapy.
