The authors discuss the problem of suicidal behaviour of children and adolescenta. They analyzed tase-records of 127 patients hospitalized after attempted suicide at the Paediatric Psychiatric Clinic of the 5econd Medical Faculty Charles University and Motol Faculty Hospital in 1995 -1999. They found that the most frequently used method of suicidal action was intoxication with medikamenty - in 110 instances. A very frequently used preparation is paracetamol. The authors compare also the medication before and after the suicidal attempt. They reflect on possible prevention of suicidal attemps by intoxication with medikamenty.
