Overview

Authors refer a case of a 28-year-old, otherwise healthy, woman experiencing cyclic pain and bleeding from a navel lesion for three months. Gynecological symptoms were completely absent. Skin biopsy confirmed a cutaneous form of endometriosis confirmed by sonographic examination. No other foci of endometriosis were found in this patient, surgical treatment was curative. The authors present the important differential diagnosis of these manifestations and the need of interdisciplinary approach.

Keywords:

cutaneous form of endometriosis – deep infiltrating endometriosis – differential diagnosis
