Overview
The article describes a case of multiple necrotic skin ulcers on the abdomen and on the lateral parts of thighs in a 72-year-old woman with insulin dependent diabetes mellitus and chronic renal failure without regular hemodialysis caused by histologically proven calciphylaxis with fatal progress. Authors present an overview of current knowledge on the treatment options.
