Overview
Authors divide vascular anomalies according to the newest classification into two main types:
tumors (hemangiomas, tufted angiomas, Kaposiform hemangioendotheliomas, epitheloid hemangioendotheliomas, hemangiopericytomas) and vascular malformations (capillary, lymphatic, venous, arteriovenous and combined).
The multidisciplinary cooperation (dermatologist, radiologist, pathologist, hematologist, plastic surgeon) is needed in evaluation of vascular anomalies. The authors present the most serious cases of vascular anomalies and their therapy.
Key words:
peripheral vascular anomalies – hemangiomas – venous malformations – clinical practice – therapy
