Sarcoidosis is a systemic granulomatous disease of unknown aetiology. Musculoskeletal manifestationsof sarcoidosis are more frequent during the acute phase of the disease, and they become rareduring the chronic course. The paper presents an overview of musculoskeletal manifestations ofsarcoidosis. Attention is given namely to the differential diagnosis. Diagnosis of sarcoidosis issometimes difficult because of the histological picture of the granulomatous inflammation, whichis similar to many other diseases.
