Overview
Hypodontia of upper lateral incisors impacts not only aesthetics of upper frontteeth, but also the function of dentition. Alternative therapeutic procedures build upon a complexanalysis and a diagnostic examination of a patient, regarding patient’s requirements andhis individuality. In this article,we describe our long and good experiencewith closing the spaceresulting fromagenesis of upper lateral incisors,by positioning the canine in the lateral incisor’sposition, and followed by aesthetic reconstruction of the teeth using direct veneering technique. We monitor the efficacy and stability of the therapy with a regard to biological approach andminimally invasive techniques. Nevertheless, such an approach assumes favourable gnatologicalconditions. Our aim is to achieve a long-lasting and satisfactory results without any occlusaldisturbances.
