Overview
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effect of various laser techniques forbleaching teeth in office vital whitening. Hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide were usedto receive chemical action of bleaching process. Extracted upper central incisors were exposedto laser radiation. Four different laser systems were applied to accelerate the speed of process.Nikon Labophot (Japan) microscopewas used for color change determination.Scanning electronmicroscope Jeol (Japan) checked the quality of surface structure. The Nd:YAG laser SHG; CTE:YAG laser had no bleaching effect. Nd:YAG laser, waveguide 1,06 µm radiation destroyed thesurface of tooth. Alexandrite laser application was considered an elective process to decreasethe time of bleaching without the surface modification.
