Review of the literature shows a different prevalence of overhang class IIrestoration (16 –85%).It is proven,that overhang filling is an important factor in initiating,spreading and deterioration of the inflammatory periodontal process.Otherwise,overhangremoval significantly improves periodontal conditions.Overhang removal is facilitates or insome patient enables correct interdental oral hygiene.Literary sources differ from each otherin the ways of detection,grading and removal of overhangs.
