The authors compare the therapeutic effect of the subgingival curettage methodby means of indexes PBI (Mühlemann),Pl I (Silness and Löe)and assessment of the depth ofpockets in mm.They had a group of 10 patients in good general health,mean age 43.2 yearsand treated 20 jaws with advanced periodontitis.According to their results assembled so farthe effectiveness of the Vector method is comparable with the method of subgingival curettage.Positive is also the experience reported by patients during treatment with the Vector methodwhich does not require local anaesthesia.
