Overview
The authors draw attention to the advantages of a spiral CT apparatus inthree-dimensional reconstruction of the structures of the facial skeleton. They demonstrate theadvantages of the method on two patients with isolated retromarginal fracture of the orbitalfloor. In both instances high standard CT examination and three-dimensional imaging of theaffected part of the skeleton served as the basis for therapeutic deliberations. In the conclusionthe authors outline the possible use of high standard diagnostic equipment in future.
