Pain is a frequent source of suffering in patients with malignant tumours in theorofacial region. In the submitted paper the author describes his experience with treatment ofsymptomatic pain in patients treated on account of malignomas at the in-patient departmentof the Second Dental Clinic in Brno. It is important to assess the character of pain, to selectsuitable therapy and administer drugs at the proper intervals and in appropriate amounts.Administration of drugs by the oral route is preferred.
