Overview
Molecular psychiatry was established in the last twenty years. The basic mission of molecular psychiatry is the research of the molecular causes of mental disorders and the explanation of the pathogenesis of mental disorders. The basic aim of molecular psychiatry is to improve the quality of diagnostics and the treatment of mental disorders which should lead to better comfort of mentally ill patients. The aim of this contribution is mapping of the most important moments in history of the establishment of molecular psychiatry and the highlighting of marginalized contexts that play a role in the establishment of molecular psychiatry.
