The author presents the case-report of an aggressive patient with impaired personality where itproved possible to control aggressive behaviour by means of sulpiride. The case-report indicatesthe usefulness of sulpiride, an atypical antipsychotic drug of the benzamide group, in the treat-ment of aggressive behaviour in patients with personality disorders and the possible role of thedopamine system in the regulation of aggressive behaviour. Sulpiride known for its therapeuticeffect on productive and negative psychotic symptoms, affective symptoms regardless of knownindications in internal medicine proved useful in treatment of aggression, as a symptom of impaired personality. With regard to the difficulty of treatment of aggressive manifestations associatedwith the personality structure sulpiride and its therapeutic effect resp. drew attention to itspossible further use.
