The authors provide basic data gained in 24 in-patients treated for eatingdisorders (14 for anorexia nervosa, 10 for bulimia nervosa) in average 17.6years old. All patients are treated at the new Unit for eating disorders estab-lished since October 1997 as a department of the Clinic for Psychiatry at theUniversity Hospital in Olomouc.
