Overview
In this contribution publish the observation that addition of 10% L-arginin.HCl tothe 2% Trusopt eye drops intensifies activity of antiglaucomatics with an importantreduction of the normal intraocular pressure (IOP) in rabbits New Zelandwhite namely from 15 up to 240 minutes, compared with application of bothsubstance alone. Size of the pupil was not affected. Based on our experimentalresultsweassumethat this increasing activity of Trusoptmixture with amino acidL-arginin.HCl created a new metabolite. According to our observations this metabolitecaused reduction of the humor aqueous production and together with theincreased of the uveo-scleral outflow leads to the striking reduction of the IOP.
