The author followed up the medium-term results of cataract operations in fivepatients with decompensated closed angle glaucoma. From the results ensues thatin patients with an intraocular pressure of less than 30 mm Hg surgery of cataractalone has a positive effect on the compensation of glaucoma. An advantage is alsothe standard surgical technique. The operation is made on an eye with a narrowerpupil and requires an experienced ophthalmosurgeon.
