Aspiration of the lenticular epithelium is considered at present a prevention ofthe development of secondary cataract. In a group of 185 eyes the authors useda modification of Teping´s method.They did not observe any serious perioperativecomplications. Variants of the applied method are discussed as well as possiblecomplications and the optimal shape and site of the orifice of the aspiration probe.
