Overview
The authors present a new, minimally invasive treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. This is a technology of „The RezūmTM System“ based on the use of sterile water vapor, which is applied to the prostatic lobes under pressure. Sharply confined thermal lesions consequently lead to the reduction of prostatic tissue volume, which results in symptom score reduction, postvoiding residual volume reduction and increase of maximal flow Qmax. The article also includes evaluation of our results using this treatment.
