Overview
Monoclonal antibody (MAbs) therapy has emerged as a viable treatment option for patients in haematologicalmalignancies. Clinical use ofMAbs has been facilitated by recombinantDNAtechnology, whichhas been used to engineer chimeric and humanized MAbs. They can be used as „naked MAbs“, orconjugated (with toxin, radioisotope, or with cytotoxic drug). The author reviews different MAbs usedin clinical practice, or studied in clinical trials.
