Overview
Classical clinical determination of the foot functional types according to Root requires experience and may be therefore difficult for the beginner. For a simplified diagnostics it is possible to use a typical localization of the sole pressure sore, developing under osseous structures in places of the highest load in the course of the support phase of the pace cycle and their distribution is therefore very typical for individual functional (sub)types.
