Overview
The understanding of neurophysiological and kinesiologic relations in motor development is the basis for correct evaluation of postural maturity of the child as a prerequisite of purposeful (intentional) motion activities at the preschool age. In order to take advantage of these principles the physical therapeutics, preschool pedagogues, trainers of the interest motion groups and the trainers of sport clubs can react in the most natural way to the needs of their clients (patients, pupils, sportsmen and sportswomen) within the framework of motion activities
It has become obvious that some qualitative shortcomings, which showed up in the practice of more skilled sport activities at the preschool age can be anticipated in postural motor screening of the healthy child as early as at the suckling age. The possibilities to draw attention to functionally weaker components of the neuromuscular system could serve in individual preventive compensation adjustment of purposeful motion activity of the child. These principles are documented in the case report.
