Spa treatment markedly improves the quality ot lite also in people above 70 years ot age, theretore advanced age is no contraindication ot spa treatment. Elderly patients with compensated ischaemic heart disease tolerate well also hyperthermal procedures. The total load ot spa treatment must however respect ot errors are elderly patients who come to the spa without their medical documentation, torget their drugs at home and cannot remember important data trom their case-history. Examples ot possible risks ot spa treatment in patients ot advanced age are demonstrated on three case-records.
