Overview

The breast cancer is the most common cancer particularly in the women population. The primary cause of this disease is not yet understood however its risk factors are generally published. Among the most public known risk factors is presented the existence of the cancer in the family anamnesis, first of all in the primary line. In our retrospective study with 640 women with the breast cancer and 640 women without the breast cancer, through collecting of data about the family anamnesis, we have been investigating the existence of the cancer in the family and it was statistically proved, that the breast cancer in the family anamnesis is the risk factor of the breast cancer existence. The estimated relative risk of the breast cancer existence is 1.31 in mother, 1.11 in sister and 1.50 in daughter.

Key words:
the risk factor – the existence of the breast cancer in the family anamnesis – the breast cancer in mother – the breast cancer in sister – the breast cancer in grandmother
