Clinical significance of HPV test

Overview

Possible clinical role of HPV test is discussed in accordance with clinical course of HPV infection. Its main role as the supplementary test is in triage of equivocal cytological findings (ASC-US). Other possible applications in primary screening, in glandular laesions and in further indications are presented.
