Overview
The author presents his own experience with an alternative, modified insertion of throcars in elective laparoscopic cholecystectomies. The approach results in a lower number of surgical entrance points, reduced down to two incision holes. However, the procedure is suitable for certain, selected patients only. In order to be safe, the procedure is only recommended for experienced surgical teams, performing laparoscopic procedures on a routine basis.
