Overview

The authors evaluate the possibility to use assessment of otoacoustic emissions inexaminations of hearing in subjects exposed to the risk of noise at work. In control group A and Dand groups B, C and E exposed for varying periods to noise at the workplace the authors evaluatetransient evoked otoacoustic emissions and otoacoustic emissions of distorsion product as comparedwith the tone audiogram. It may be said that otoacoustic emissions differ significantly indifferent groups and at the same time display a close correlation with the tone audiogram. Thereforetheir application in screening of hearing disorders in workers exposed to the risk of noise isperspective.
