Overview

The Střešovice health plan is a pilot project of managed care administered for the health insurance company and the CentralMilitary Hospital Prague by the DG plus team. The objective is to create a practical model where the panel of providers bearsthe financial responsibility for a virtual health fund of insured subjects registered with general practitioners of the Plan andwhere individual providers coordinate their activities in order to achieve greater effectiveness, to reduce unnecessary costs,improve services for clients and achieve a higher quality of provided care. The means used is a change in the behaviour ofproviders, achievement of better organization of care, better communication between providers in the panel, identification ofcommon interest based on financial motivation supported by the necessary information in an environment open to autonomousdecision taking.
