Overview

František Adamík is considered the founder of otorhinolaryngology in Moravian Wallachia. In this medically undeveloped region, he not only helped many patients with his work but also established an ENT department at the Hospital in Vsetín, thus contributing to its significant development. He was also a leading Czechoslovak expert in endoscopy, whose significance crossed the borders of the republic. He participated in the construction and development of endoscopes and was one of the first otorhinolaryngologists to deal with photo and video documentation of endoscopic examinations.
