Amyloidosis is a summary of a group of disorders of protein metabolism characterized by infiltration of amorphoussubstance into the tissues. The diagnosis can rarely be made during life. It is usually manifested by defects of therenale, cardiovascular or peripheral nervous system Heterogenity of clinical and histological classification ofamyloidosis and clinical course in comparison with autopsy findings are presented by two cases of generalamyloidosis - secondary amyloidosis of the kidneys and primary amyloidosis with a fatal prognosis.
