Overview
In the brief review current possibilities of assessment of glomerular filtration rate based on single non-adjusted serum creatinine concentrations (SKr) are analysed and when so-called adjusted values of SKr are necessary to be used. In terms of adjusted value of SKr Cockcroft-Gault equation and prediction of GF based on abbreviated MDRD (Modification of Diet in Renal Disease) equation are analysed in more detail.
