Overview

The aim of the review article is to summarize the most frequently specified causes of falls in hospitalized patients in studies published in 2012–2018. Analyzed research studies were searched using keywords: patient fall; falls injuries; risk factors; fragile senior; risk assessment. The search was carried out in scientific databases focused on medicine and nursing Cinahl and Medline, in the database of the National Medical Library Medvic and Bibliographia Medica Čechoslovaca.
