Overview
Alcohol abuse poses a large problem and this habit results in changes of vessels, hair, nails, adipose tissue, and overall human looks. The article deals with specific skin changes and the influence of alcohol on worsening of pre-existing dermatoses such as seborrhoic and nummular eczema, acne and rosacea. The relationship between alcohol and injuries, burns and STDs is important. A synoptic table of the skin manifestations of alcohol abuse is included.
