Overview
Defecography is a fully diagnostically competent, simple and inexpensive method which has its place in the diagnostical algorithm of defecation disorders.
In this study we report our experience with diagnostics of anorectal disorders. We suppose that our wide – ranging collection of examinated patients and the knowledge gathered from the experience of authors abroad enable us to establish certain standards in the field of examination methodology and in the evaluation of defecation disorders. In the end of our survey we have evaluated a group of 558 examined patients and the appearance of pathology was in 83 % patients. The percentage of pathology we have found corresponds to experience of authors abroad.
Key words:
obstipation – incontinence – anorectal dysfunction – defecography.
