Overview
The authors demonstrate the specificity of the care of burns in childhood. The course of the treatment is divided into 3 steps. The authors describe the procedures which are necessary to provide in the urgent, acute and recovery period. They point out the indications for the hospitalization of burned child. The authors conclude the article with the emphasis on the necessity of the burn prevention and stress the issue as a social problem.
