This work is aimed to support the opinion of the general medical public that strong opioids arenot medical foes, but very efficient and safe medicine if properly indicated and used in a suitabledrug form.The work is structured slightly unconventional as well as the employment of strong opioids isyet unconventional for treatment of chronic non-tumorous and in some cases, I am afraid, eventumorous pain.In the first part of the work, a case report is provided for one patient of our outpatientdepartment for chronic pain in the lower back who uses TTS fenthanyl and has gone back towork.In the next part, we ask several questions concerning the myths and superstitions adherent tostrong opioids, and we answer those questions immediately.We continue with a case report of a young patient highly profiting by the employment of strongopioids that were successfully discontinued when the ground for use had ceased.
