The gynaecological case-history should be part of every case-history of women. It is not timeconsuming and can draw attention to pathological conditions on account of which the GP refersthe patient to a gynaecological department. It will also offer a guideline for correct care of somenon-gynaecological diseases. The author demonstrates in his paper its importance in someatypical situations and recommends how to take the case-history.
