The authors evaluate, based on data from the literature and their own experience, diagnosticpossibilities in haemorrhage from the lower portion of the digestive tract. As to examinationmethods they compare endoscopic methods (anoscopy, coloscopy) and X-ray methods (irrigography, arteriography) and isotope examinations. In the conclusion of the article they proposea practically feasible algorithm of different diagnostic and therapeutic steps.
