Overview

Differencial diagnosis of autoimmune pancreatitis and pancreatic carcinoma is usaully quite difficult procedure. In clinical practice a combination of clinical disease course and response to the therapy, serological markers, imaging methods and histology are used. The team-work and close cooperation with dedicted experts from other specialisation are absolutely needed.

Key words:
autoimmune pancreatitis – autoimmune diseases – pancreatic carcinoma

The authors declare they have no potential conflicts of interest concerning drugs, products, or services used in the study.

The Editorial Board declares that the manuscript met the ICMJE „uniform requirements“ for biomedical papers.
