Overview
For already longer period of time it was suggested, that there is a potential relationship of increased acid uric to many clinical states in internal medicine. However only during last two decades important association also to cardiovascular diseases is now confirmed. At present we have enough of data, that increase of acid uric level represents an useful biomarker, which enables the clinician to evaluate the patient´s risk and also to start preventive approach.
